Humanities

The two hour humanities block includes meaningful discussion about great pieces of literature, history will be present but the literature leads. Students will keep a Book of Centuries and a commonplace book as helps to engage with great books and place events in history as they read. This block also includes writing instruction and a place to orally share written work, either a paper or a written narration of the literature.

Latin or Nature study

Second Hour options for Jr High ages includes First Form or Second Form Latin from Memoria Press or a Nature Study & Journaling class open to grades 5-12 who are not taking Latin.

Oratory Hour

This class hour encompasses all forms of communication: poetry, theater, speaking, presenting, debate, memorization, interview skills and more.
